General Terms and Conditions of Sunclass Durbuy Holiday Park

  1. Reservation, payment and confirmation

    1. Reservations can be made online, by phone or by e-mail.

    2. A reservation is only final after the park has confirmed it in writing and after the guest has paid for the reservation in full.

    3. The main booker must be at least 18 years old, must be present during the entire stay, and is responsible for all fellow travellers during the stay.

  1. Cancellation and modification

    1. Cancellations must be communicated in writing or by e-mail.

    2. In case of cancellation, you are entitled to the following refunds:

      • 100% of the reservation amount in case of cancellation up to and including the 61st day before the planned arrival

      • 60% of the reservation amount in case of cancellation from the 60th to the 31st day before the planned arrival

      • 25% of the reservation amount in case of cancellation from the 30th to the 15th day before the planned arrival

      • 0% of the reservation amount in case of cancellation from the 14th day before the planned arrival

    3. It is not possible to change an existing reservation. In exceptional circumstances, the park may deviate from this rule.

  1. Arrival and departure

    1. Check-in is possible from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival.

    2. At check-in, the main booker must present a valid ID.

    3. Check-out must be completed before 10:00 AM on the day of departure.

    4. It is not permitted to stay longer than reserved without the park’s permission.

  1. Stay in the chalet

    1. The chalets are suitable for a maximum number of persons indicated in the reservation. It is not permitted to let more people stay overnight without the prior permission of the park.

    2. Pets are only allowed in the chalets where this is explicitly stated and for an additional fee.

    3. It is not permitted to use household goods, equipment, kitchen utensils, glassware, crockery, cutlery, etc., outside the chalet, except for the terrace belonging to the chalet.

    4. The chalets must be left tidy and clean upon departure. This means:

      • Waste must be sorted and taken to the appropriate containers.

      • All dishes must be washed and returned to the (kitchen) cabinets.

      • All beds must be stripped, and the bed linen must be returned to the reception.

      • The floor must be swept.

    5. If a chalet is not left in accordance with Article 4.4, the park is entitled to charge additional (cleaning) costs. These will be deducted from the paid deposit.

    6. Any damage or loss during the stay must be reported immediately to the reception. The costs for repair or replacement may be charged to the guest.

  1. House rules

    1. Guests must comply with the park rules established to ensure the peace and safety of all guests.

    2. The use of the swimming pool, playgrounds, and other facilities is at your own risk. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising their children.

    3. It is not permitted to cause noise disturbance. This applies especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

    4. Open fires are only permitted in designated areas, such as at the campfire or designated barbecue area. No candles, barbecues (of any kind), or other (electrical) cooking appliances are allowed in and around the chalets.

    1. Vehicles must be parked in designated areas. One vehicle may be parked in the immediate vicinity of a chalet. If there are multiple vehicles, they must be parked in the parking lot between the brasserie and the barbecue area.

    2. It is not permitted to charge electric vehicles via the chalet’s electrical network.

    3. Dogs must be kept on a leash in the park. Waste must be cleaned up.

  1. Liability

    1. The park is not liable for any loss, theft, damage, or injury of any kind, during or as a result of the stay in the park.

    2. Guests stay in the park and use the facilities at their own risk.

    3. The park is not liable (and there is no right to any refund or compensation) for malfunctions of facilities such as gas, water, electricity, Internet, and TV/Radio reception.

    4. The park is not liable (and there is no right to any refund or compensation) if facilities such as the swimming pool, playgrounds, and sports facilities are closed due to circumstances.

  1. Complaints

    1. If you have a complaint, you must report it as soon as possible to the reception so that we can find a solution.

    2. If a complaint is not resolved satisfactorily during the stay, it can be submitted in writing to the park manager within 14 days of departure.

  1. Privacy

    1. All data provided by guests is stored in our guest administration.

    2. We will not share this information with third parties.

    3. If we wish to use this information for purposes other than informing guests about the reservation for which the information was provided, we will only do so based on explicit, prior consent.

    4. If a guest appears by chance in a photo or video taken for publication in a Sunclass publication and/or for online display, their consent to the use of the photo or video is presumed.

  1. Applicable law

    1. All agreements between the park and the guest are subject to Belgian law in the French language.

  1. Renting outside the park

    1. For rental agreements concluded directly between the owner of a chalet and guest(s), the park is not a party.

    2. The park provides, on behalf of the owner, a number of services to the guest(s), such as check-in and check-out, and resolving urgent malfunctions.

    3. Articles 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 of these general terms and conditions also apply to stays based on rental agreements concluded directly between the owner of a chalet and guest(s).

    4. If you have a complaint, you must report it as soon as possible to the reception. The reception will then inform the owner and take action at their request.

    5. If a complaint is not resolved satisfactorily during the stay, it can be submitted to the owner of the chalet after departure.
